TechFlow — According to Coinedition, crypto KOL Derivatives Monke has exposed allegations of "corruption" involving Sebastien, the head of zkSync DeFi. Derivatives Monke shared chat screenshots with Sebastien (more widely known as Seb), revealing that the latter offered "additional zkSync tokens" and reserved some tokens for "friends joining the multisig." According to this tweet, Seb had been spreading FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) prior to the launch of Syncus_Fi, a DeFi protocol focused on zkSync. As per the official announcement, "the IDO was solely intended to obtain token liquidity and bootstrap vaults so that staking/bonding and unbonding mechanisms could function."
The platform also announced that 15% of the total SYNC token supply would be allocated to the IDO (Initial DEX Offering). According to the official statement, the IDO went live at 2:00 PM EST on November 25 and lasted only five minutes. However, Derivatives Monke's tweet revealed suspicious behavior by the zkSync DeFi head. Seb claimed that approximately 25% of the zkSync tokens should be allocated to "his friends."
Nonetheless, the official appears to strongly deny these allegations, tweeting: "The screenshots in this tweet are fake." He reiterated that the incident did not occur and stated he had already "clarified the situation and resolved the initial misunderstanding."
