TechFlow news: Bastion, a crypto startup founded by a former a16z executive, has appointed Caroline Friedman, former chief of staff at a16z and Kraken, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Friedman had been serving as interim COO since February. In her permanent role, she will oversee compliance, regulatory affairs, human resources, public policy, and finance functions at Bastion.
Prior to this, Friedman held positions at a16z and Kraken, and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the National Security and International Crime Section. Bastion closed a $25 million seed funding round on September 18, led by a16z.
