TechFlow news — voting has begun for Cosmos Hub Proposal #853, titled "Allocate 600,000 ATOM for pSTAKE's liquidity growth."
This community spending proposal aims to enhance the liquid staking of stkATOM in pSTAKE by allocating 600k ATOM as protocol-owned liquidity (stkATOM Hub POL) on Astroport (Neutron) and Dexter (Persistence). The specific plan includes:
- Use pSTAKE to liquid-stake 300,000 ATOM to mint stkATOM
- Provide liquidity worth 350,000 ATOM in a new stkATOM/ATOM pool on Astroport Neutron
- Provide liquidity worth 250,000 ATOM in the stkATOM/ATOM stable pool on Dexter Persistence
- Maintain multi-sig control over stkATOM Hub POL for at least one year
pSTAKE Finance commits to sharing 15% of its total ATOM liquidity revenue with Cosmos Hub and waives the 5% protocol fee on the 300,000 ATOM used for liquid staking.
The proposal sponsors believe this Liquidity-as-a-Service (LaaS) model has the potential to generate revenue for Cosmos Hub, strengthen Cosmos LSTfi, diversify community pool investments, and increase demand for stkATOM—creating ripple effects across the ecosystem both within and beyond the 'ATOM Economic Zone'.
