TechFlow reported that OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman shared a post from Sam Altman and commented, "After learning today's news, I sent the following message to the OpenAI team:
I am incredibly proud of what we've built together since we started eight years ago in my apartment. We've been through tough and amazing times, accomplished so much, even when everything seemed impossible.
But given today's news, I am stepping down.
I genuinely wish everyone all the best, and I still firmly believe in our mission to create safe artificial general intelligence (AGI) that benefits all humanity."
Previously, OpenAI removed Sam Altman from his roles as CEO and board member. Greg Brockman is no longer serving as chairman of the board, but will remain President of OpenAI, reporting to the CEO.
