TechFlow news — According to official announcements, OKX Ventures has revealed its investment in Kakarot, a 2.5-type ZkEVM written in the Turing-complete programming language Cairo. Kakarot is currently launching its first testnet, which will operate as an L2 on Ethereum or an L3 on StarkNet. Following this initial phase, Kakarot aims to evolve into a type-1 ZkEVM, enabling any L1 node to generate Stark Proofs. Additionally, Kakarot is actively exploring other ZKPs, account abstraction, and scaling solutions to drive growth and resilience in the Web3 space.
Dora, founder of OKX Ventures, said, "Kakarot is built on Starknet and uses an innovative development approach with its native language to solve the EVM compatibility issue on the Starknet network, enabling the Ethereum ecosystem to thrive on Starknet."
