TechFlow reported, according to The Block, that BlackRock has stated it is not attempting to launch an XRP ETF.
A spokesperson for BlackRock said the BlackRock XRP document circulating on Monday was fake and unrelated to the asset management firm. The fraudulent document was filed with the Delaware Department of Corporations and published on its website, containing details matching those of legitimate BlackRock filings, including the name and address of its registered agent.
XRP's price briefly rose over 10% following the false report but has since fallen back to around $0.65.
