TechFlow news: Polkadot's OpenGov has published Proposal #231, suggesting the use of HydraDX's dollar-cost averaging (DCA) feature on the Polkadot ecosystem exchange to regularly convert a portion of the treasury's DOT into USDT. The accumulated USDT would be used to pay salaries for Technical Fellowship members.
The total amount proposed for conversion is 469,000 DOT, with fees accounting for approximately 0.4% of the total conversion value. A swap will occur roughly every 36 minutes, acquiring 250 USDT per transaction, totaling 10,000 USDT per day.
At current prices, the conversion program is expected to last around 180 days. The strategy of small, frequent conversions aims to minimize the impact of price volatility. Currently, the referendum has an approval rate of 64.3% and remains in the decision phase, which will end in 19 days and 21 hours.
