TechFlow news: South Korea's leading metaverse platform ZEP announced on the 13th a partnership with NEAR Protocol, revealing plans based on the NEAR Protocol.
NEAR Protocol and ZEP aim to explore, through this collaboration, a business model that offers various benefits to users. They also plan to develop Web3-related features to enhance convenience for both developers and users. Under this partnership, ZEP’s partners will be able to easily issue and distribute various Web3-based digital assets, enabling users to enjoy seamless Web3 experiences within the ZEP metaverse environment.
ZEP is a joint venture between mobile game developer Supercat—known for "Kingdom of Winds: Yeon"—and NAVER Z, operator of Zepeto. It launched its beta version on November 30, 2021. This year, ZEP has achieved 1.3 million monthly active users (MAU) and accumulated 8.3 million users in total, drawing attention from enterprises and public institutions domestically and internationally. Building on its success in the domestic market, ZEP plans to expand into Japan and Southeast Asia in the second half of this year.
