TechFlow reports that blockchain cryptography company Nil Foundation plans to launch a ZK-Rollup Layer 2 project called zkSharding. zkSharding will function as a zkEVM, capable of running existing Ethereum decentralized applications. The solution aims to provide an alternative scaling approach by integrating multiple shards into a single execution Layer 2 to host data-intensive dapps. Previously known for its proof marketplace, Nil Foundation's move into launching its own ZK-Rollup marks its entry into a highly competitive space. The project incorporates various architectural principles, including main shards and sub-shards, to enhance transaction throughput.
