TechFlow news, the core team of Layer 1 blockchain Evmos plans to discontinue support for Cosmos transactions and focus on Ethereum EVM-based transactions. This means the core network will only support Ethereum-based wallets and tools, no longer supporting those designed for Cosmos. The goal of this move is to streamline development workflows and improve the efficiency of Ethereum wallets on the network.
Evmos plans to phase out Cosmos transactions gradually, aiming to complete the transition by the third quarter of 2024. This strategic shift aims to reduce the burden on wallet and blockchain explorer developers, enhance user experience, and enable the team to focus more on EVM user experience and interoperability. Core Cosmos functionalities such as staking and token transfers will continue to be supported to ensure users and developers can seamlessly access these features.
