TechFlow news: The Mauritius Financial Services Commission (FSC) has begun soliciting feedback on the application of the metaverse in the financial services industry.
The FSC Mauritius has released a consultation paper inviting stakeholders and the public to provide input on the strategic development and potential impact of the metaverse, with the consultation period running until the end of November.
The country aims to ensure its regulatory and business environment is prepared for the ongoing global evolution of the metaverse.
Respondents currently have until November 30 to share their views, which will help establish a multidisciplinary working group to explore future policy and regulatory directions.
Mauritius also plans to launch the pilot phase of its digital rupee in November 2023 to further advance the development of digital currencies.
