TechFlow news: In an open letter, crypto wallet Argent announced that after six months of alpha testing and careful consideration of user feedback, they have decided to discontinue support for zkSync Era and will instead focus on Starknet.
Argent stated: "We believe Starknet holds tremendous potential, and therefore we want to prioritize product development to support the growth of its ecosystem. Starting January 31, 2024, we will gradually reduce support for zkSync Era and cease adding new features. While this will not affect the security of users' accounts, users will noticeably experience degraded performance as we scale down backend infrastructure services."
Finally, Argent recommends that users promptly transfer their assets on zkSync Era from Argent to other wallets supporting zkSync Era, such as Metamask. Users who wish to continue using Argent to hold their assets can use the LayerSwap cross-chain bridge to transfer them to Starknet or the Ethereum mainnet.
