TechFlow reports that Celestia Labs has launched Blobstream, a modular data availability solution for Ethereum. By using blockchain light clients to relay data root commitments from Celestia, Blobstream enables Ethereum developers to more easily build high-throughput Layer 2 (L2) solutions.
This innovation enhances security through Data Availability Sampling (DAS), allowing light nodes to monitor the behavior of Celestia validators and penalize them when necessary.
Blobstream's ZK implementation reduces costs for validators and enables faster data transfer speeds.
Blobstream and Blobstream X are now available on testnets, pending launch on the Ethereum mainnet.
