TechFlow news, Immutable co-founder Robbie Ferguson announced the re-locking of 125 million IMX tokens from the project development allocation for an additional year, extending at least until July 2024. A linear monthly release schedule will be implemented to ensure stable token distribution. These tokens were originally set to unlock within weeks.
Immutable zkEVM is planned to launch in the near future, with plans to enhance liquidity across Rollups.
Regarding the IMX token supply, the Immutable team stated that they will hold 25% of IMX tokens long-term as reserves. Most token holders from the original private sale have already completed their lock-up periods, while certain efficient grant programs will continue releasing granted tokens based on time and milestone achievements.
The Immutable team emphasized they won't slow down, aiming to make digital asset ownership an expectation for three billion players. They believe the user adoption curve for Web3 gaming will be determined by the largest game projects.
