TechFlow news — SBF's legal team has requested court approval to use evidence related to his investment in the artificial intelligence startup Anthropic. In a submitted letter, SBF’s attorneys stated that prosecutors attempted to exclude the Anthropic investment and argued this reflects an "erroneous interpretation of the relevance of the evidence."
Additionally, SBF’s legal team contends that since prosecutors repeatedly referenced Alameda’s venture investments during trial and are allowing testimony from witness Caroline Ellison to clarify the nature of the venture portfolio, this information is significant to the case.
Earlier on October 9, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that FTX founder SBF should not mention the recent fundraising activities of his artificial intelligence company Anthropic in his defense.
