TechFlow news — According to The Wall Street Journal, Peter Marton, head of the virtual currency division at the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), will leave his position by the end of this month. A spokesperson for the agency said Marton is moving to a private-sector role that falls outside NYDFS regulation. Meanwhile, Adrienne Harris, Superintendent of Financial Services at NYDFS, stated that the agency will launch a global search to fill the vacant leadership role in its virtual currency division.
Prior to joining the New York regulator, Marton served as Director of Digital Assets at Promontory Financial Group, a consulting firm under IBM Consulting.
