TechFlow news — Varys Capital is planning to raise $75 million for its equity venture fund focused on blockchain innovation, targeting startups in areas such as DeFi, CeFi, GameFi, Web3 infrastructure, and other emerging technologies.
Darius Askaripour, Managing Partner at Varys Capital, said: "We are considering entering the UAE market, primarily encouraged by supportive government policies in the region, which features high levels of innovation, robust infrastructure, and forward-thinking vision. We plan to expand across the Middle East and North Africa, and currently have several deals in the final stages of due diligence."
The fund has already made five investments, including Move language infrastructure provider Movement Labs, gaming studio SunSpear Games, blockchain mobile operator Bloxtel, first-person shooter game developer Shrapnel, and cloud hardware and software developer Nirvana Labs.
