TechFlow news, according to Nation, Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki claimed that U.S. authorities have prevented the country from detaining several American citizens serving as executives of the cryptocurrency project Worldcoin.
A spokesperson for Worldcoin's parent company stated that Alex Blania, co-founder and CEO of Worldcoin, along with its chief legal counsel Thomas Scott, were among those arrested by Kenyan authorities at Nairobi airport.
Kenyans banned the operation of the Worldcoin project on August 2 and established an independent committee to investigate its impact. During the committee's hearings, Kindiki said the U.S. blocked the detention of these individuals because Blania, Scott, and other Worldcoin executives had not yet "been found guilty."
