TechFlow reports that on September 19, Oak Grove Ventures launched a $60 million venture fund focused on early-stage investments in cutting-edge technology sectors such as Web3, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology.
Oak Grove Ventures was co-founded by seasoned industry professionals with extensive experience across various sectors, enabling the team to provide comprehensive strategic support to portfolio companies in areas including fundraising, strategy, technology, and operations. Team members include Shawn Shi (co-founder of Alchemy Pay), Ethan W (former tech lead at Libra), RJ Lan (former CTO of Harmony), Michael Li (former Vice President at Coinbase and technology advisor at Oak Grove Ventures), Zac Pan (former Associate Partner at Lightspeed China Partners), and Sally W (former VP at Sino Global).
Its predecessor operated as a family office and has already invested in over 30 projects. Among its disclosed portfolio are eight funds and 14 high-quality projects, including SpaceX and Neuralink.
