TechFlow news, on September 18, OKX announced the initiation of OKB's new quarterly burn cycle from June 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023. This marks the 21st OKB burn event, with a total of 6,140,520.48 OKB tokens removed from circulation and sent to a black hole address.
Since May 4, 2019, OKX has been conducting quarterly burns of OKB—out of a total issuance of 300 million tokens—based on market and operational performance each quarter, permanently removing tokens by sending them to a black hole address. To date, a cumulative total of 70,182,835.18 OKB tokens have been burned.
