TechFlow reports that Binance has announced its Binance Charity will airdrop up to $3 million worth of BNB to users affected by the Morocco earthquake.
Binance will determine eligible users based on whether they completed Proof of Address (POA) verification in the Marrakesh-Safi region of Morocco prior to September 9, 2023. Users who completed POA verification in this region before that date will each receive $100 worth of BNB, directly deposited into their Binance accounts.
For users who complete POA verification between September 9, 2023 and September 30, 2023, Binance will directly donate $25 worth of BNB to their Binance accounts.
In addition, for users actively trading in Morocco but located outside the affected areas, Binance will airdrop $10 worth of BNB to each user. This donation from Binance will benefit approximately 70,000 Binance users living in Morocco, with funds being distributed starting September 12, 2023.
