TechFlow news: RWA protocol Helix has completed a $2 million pre-seed funding round led by Saison Capital and Superscrypt, with participation from Emurgo Ventures, Comma3 Ventures, Outlier Ventures, and Emoote, aiming to provide blockchain-based lending solutions for enterprises in Southeast Asia.
Jitendra Singh Jaitawat, co-founder and CEO of Helix and former Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Technology, said the pre-seed funds will be used to prepare for launch as well as hire additional business development and engineering staff.
The project was incubated by Singapore-based private credit firm Helicap, which has facilitated over $200 million in loans across Southeast Asia since its launch in early 2018. The Helix protocol is scheduled to launch on Ethereum in the fourth quarter of this year, with potential expansion to other blockchains thereafter.
