TechFlow news — On September 5, according to the Stargate governance page, a proposal was submitted to reduce the number of cross-chain block confirmations on Aptos and introduce fee charges. The proposal states that Stargate has acquired ownership of TheAptosBridge, becoming the largest bridge to Aptos. Therefore, it proposes reducing the number of cross-chain block confirmations to 260 (approximately one minute). Additionally, the proposal suggests implementing a 0.07% fee to prevent the bridge from being used as a free routing mechanism.
The proposal will end on September 8, with a current approval rate of 92.92%.
