TechFlow news, according to Decrypt, SBF's defense lawyers say he is unable to adequately prepare for trial and are considering postponing the criminal fraud trial scheduled for October 3.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Lewis Kaplan has required the defense to decide by September 7 whether they will seek a delay in the trial.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kudla said the possibility of postponing the trial appears slim, noting that SBF has had ample time and resources to prepare, including 70 hours per week reviewing discovery materials, daily meetings with attorneys, and consultations with experts.
SBF's legal team has not yet commented. After his bail was revoked on August 11, he has been detained at Metropolitan Detention Center. The criminal fraud trial is set for October 3, with a second trial scheduled for March 11, 2024.
