TechFlow reports that HashKey has announced the launch of a trial version of its application open to retail investors. Customers can now register, but trading of virtual assets is not yet available.翁晓奇, Chief Operating Officer of HashKey Group, said the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) wants the trading app to have completed a comprehensive security assessment before being made available to users. This process is currently underway, with the official trading version expected to launch in September, allowing customers to trade Bitcoin and Ethereum.
According to 翁晓奇, retail investors can currently pre-register and use the trial version to "view market行情." The full version will enable users to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum using US dollars, with Hong Kong dollar trading to be added shortly thereafter. Once available, users will be able to top up via bank transfer and directly trade using HKD. Retail clients are defined as those with total assets below USD 1 million, who must undergo an assessment of their asset level and risk tolerance. Investment in virtual assets will be capped at 30% of a user's total assets.
