TechFlow — On August 26, PeopleDAO core developer 0xAA announced on social media that Bit Browser has issued a notice stating that its server-side cache data has been breached by hackers. Bit Browser has reported the incident to authorities. Users who have enabled extension data synchronization may be at risk of wallet theft and are advised to take immediate action to transfer their wallet assets. An official update will be provided once the breach is fully resolved.
Earlier community reports indicated that multiple members of the crypto community had their private keys compromised, with speculation arising that the issue might be linked to the use of Bit Browser's fingerprint browser.
