TechFlow reported on August 26 that Mercedes-Benz NXT, the NFT project by Mercedes-Benz, announced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that its first NFT collection, "Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons: The Era of Luxury," will launch via a Dutch auction at 00:00 Beijing time on September 6. A total of 2,694 NFTs will be issued, starting at 1 ETH and declining to a floor price of 0.1 ETH over a 90-minute auction period. Any unsold NFTs after the auction will be available for purchase at the fixed price of 0.1 ETH. The NFT artworks will be revealed 24 hours after the auction concludes.
Minting for Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons is open to all. Holders of mint passes can mint one digital collectible for free during any Dutch auction phase. Eligible holders of Maschine and Mercedes-Benz NXT Eternities tokens can claim a mint pass, which can be used in any of the seven eras. Due to regulatory and tax considerations, the event is currently only available to residents of EU countries, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Taiwan, China.
