TechFlow news: Chainlink announced that its Chainlink Staking v0.2 version is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, with an initial expansion pool size of 45 million LINK. The rollout of the v0.2 beta upgrade will gradually expand access to a broader set of participants—starting with a priority migration period for existing v0.1 stakers, followed by early access, and then public availability.
v0.2 builds on lessons learned from the v0.1 release, focusing on the following objectives: providing greater flexibility for community and node operator stakers while preserving the secure, non-custodial design of staked LINK; enhancing security assurances for oracle services covered under Chainlink Staking; implementing a modular architecture to iteratively support future improvements and additions to Chainlink Staking, such as expansion to additional services; and introducing a dynamic rewards mechanism capable of seamlessly integrating new reward sources in the future, such as user fees.
