TechFlow news, according to TechCrunch, Irreverent Labs, an AI video generation startup founded by former Microsoft executive Rahul Sood, has announced a new round of funding led by Samsung subsidiary Samsung Next, with the specific amount undisclosed.
The company developed an NFT-powered mecha fighting game, but its primary business is actually developing large-scale machine learning models, and it plans to launch a video generation tool for general users later this year.
Earlier reports indicated that in November 2021, Irreverent Labs announced a $5 million seed round led by a16z, positioning itself as an NFT gaming company preparing to develop user-friendly "play-to-earn" games featuring AI characters.
