TechFlow news — Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino recently revealed on X that the team is testing a new mobile app called Keet, which will offer true P2P voice calls, blind mirroring, and product stability.
He stated that once launched, the team will focus on features, integrations, and a P2P plugin marketplace. Ardoino emphasized the app will be permanently free and require no centralized infrastructure.
As early as 2022, it was reported that Tether, together with Bitfinex and the Hypercore open-source protocol team, began developing the encrypted communication app Keet using Holepunch's peer-to-peer technology. Keet supports end-to-end encryption, direct P2P video calling, and payments via the Bitcoin Lightning Network and USDT.
