TechFlow reports, slowmist founder Yu Xian pointed out on social media that whether it's Unibot on Telegram or friend.tech on Base chain, private keys are centrally hosted. Technically, self-hosting of private keys is feasible, but the user experience is not yet mature.
The publicly available friend.tech smart contract code shows that the contract owner is an EOA address, with assets in the current contract reaching 2,100 ETH and continuing to grow. (This is also the address receiving protocol fees, which have already reached 526 ETH.) If the owner privileges are compromised, the protocolFee could be altered, potentially causing losses for users.
Yu Xian stated that friend.tech represents a classic "get-in-early" scheme, where profits are maximized by buying early and selling late, and such hype is unlikely to last long.
