TechFlow news, according to 36Kr, Web3 security company Aegis has announced the completion of a seed round raising several million dollars from investors including Generative Ventures, Northern Light Venture Capital, and K2VC. Moving forward, Aegis will continue launching new security features such as anti-Rugpull protection and plans to initiate its next funding round in the near future.
Reportedly founded in 2022 and incubated from another global blockchain security firm "PeckShield," Aegis primarily targets markets in North America and Southeast Asia and currently serves 140,000 users. Aiming to build a low-barrier security platform for mass Web3 consumer users, Aegis currently offers its product as a browser extension providing protection before, during, and after transactions. After transaction completion, Aegis reduces asset losses caused by excessive wallet permissions and signature authorizations through its permission revocation functionality.
