TechFlow reports that Helium Mobile has launched a $5 monthly unlimited data mobile plan in Miami, marking the first such decentralized phone plan.
The company said this move is a strategic step toward Helium's vision of making connectivity affordable.
Helium Mobile combines T-Mobile's 5G network with the Helium decentralized network, significantly reducing costs while offering unlimited talk, text, and data in Miami.
The key lies in the concept of "dynamic coverage," which leverages networks built by individuals rather than corporations to drastically cut costs. Helium has deployed nearly one million hotspots globally.
