TechFlow news, according to Reuters, SoftBank is in talks with Vision Fund 1 (VF1) about purchasing a 25% stake in Arm Ltd not directly owned by VF1. This deal could benefit VF1 investors and help offset previous losses.
VF1 is the $100 billion investment fund raised by SoftBank in 2017. Arm, a Cambridge-based semiconductor and software design company, is central to this move, which is seen as part of SoftBank's shift into an "offensive mode" to seize opportunities presented by the AI revolution.
