TechFlow news, according to Blockworks, decentralized auction platform Bounce Finance has launched the "Mutant English Auction," integrating classic English auction mechanics with DeFi to enhance participation and opportunity.
In the improved model, both the auctioneer and the previous bidder benefit from higher subsequent bids, incentivizing greater participation. The highest bidder does not necessarily pay the final price, and the shared mechanism can increase the actual price received, boosting revenue for the auctioneer.
Bounce will pilot the Mutant English Auction by combining physical-digital auctions featuring a diamond necklace and an NFT.
