TechFlow News – Ethereum scaling solution Fuel has announced an upgrade to its virtual machine, FuelVM, aimed at enhancing performance and security. Key updates from this upgrade include:
1. Contracts can now mint tokens of any type, enabling native NFTs and multi-token standards such as EIP-1155;
2. Added support for new cryptographic signature schemes secp256r1 and ed25519, along with new signature curves, enabling native integration with WebAuthn and Cosmos wallets;
3. Native support for 256-bit integer arithmetic, reducing costs for large mathematical operations and improving interoperability with the EVM;
4. Removal of limits on nested call depth;
5. Parallel predicate verification, allowing the network and mempool to process more transactions, increasing TPS and fully utilizing all CPU cores;
6. WASM Bindgen support for Fuel-types and Fuel-asm types, unifying the Rust and TypeScript SDK codebases, accelerating development, and reducing bugs caused by divergent implementations.
