TechFlow news, according to CoinDesk, Mark Yusko, founder and CIO of asset management firm Morgan Creek Capital, said on the CoinDesk TV First Mover program that bitcoin (BTC), the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, could reach $300,000 by 2028.
He explained, "Gold lacks portability and divisibility, whereas bitcoin has both. The monetary value of gold is about $6 trillion; bitcoin could replace all of it, representing a tenfold increase from current levels, which implies a price of approximately $300,000." He estimates this price could be achieved by 2028, when bitcoin will undergo another halving event.
