TechFlow reports that Craig Wright, founder of BSV, has been ordered by Judge James Mellor of the High Court of England and Wales to pay 40 million pounds (approximately $51.6 million) in legal fees to pursue litigation against cryptocurrency exchanges Coinbase and Kraken.
Judge Mellor expressed skepticism regarding Craig Wright's claims of being able to afford the litigation costs, noting inconsistencies in statements about Wright's financial situation detailed in a ruling released on Tuesday. The lawsuit will be dismissed within weeks if Craig Wright or his investment company fails to provide the required security for costs.
Craig Wright claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous creator of Bitcoin—a claim that remains highly controversial and lacks sufficient evidence to substantiate it. Nevertheless, he continues to be regarded as the primary advocate and spokesperson for BSV.
