TechFlow reports, MetaMask product lead Alex Jupiter told Decrypt in an interview during EthCC that despite frequent discussions around account abstraction, EOAs, and other user experience-enhancing technologies, MetaMask will remain extremely cautious in adopting these innovations. For a self-custodial wallet serving 30 million daily active users, security is paramount, whereas applications with smaller user bases can more easily experiment with new technologies. He emphasized that "moving fast and breaking things is not at the core of Web3's spirit," especially when it comes to wallet development.
Alex also noted that while the team is deeply researching better account abstraction solutions and exploring improved implementations, translating theory into secure code takes considerable time. Furthermore, broader adoption of account abstraction will require a more mature Web3 ecosystem with well-developed use cases.
In addition, Alex stated that MetaMask has "no plans to announce a token launch in the near term."
