TechFlow reports, according to Cointelegraph, that the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a cryptocurrency architect for its central bank digital currency (CBDC) project. According to the job description, the employee will be engaged in research and development work on CBDC. The annual salary starts at $134,900, and candidates are required to have knowledge of distributed systems implementation, cryptographic protocols such as hashing, public-private key pairs and signatures, consensus algorithms, and security.
On July 19, the central bank stated on Twitter that it has not yet decided whether to issue a CBDC, saying it would "only move forward with issuing a CBDC if there is an enabling law."
