TechFlow News — Ripple's Managing Director for Europe, Sendi Young, said the company has applied to register as a crypto asset firm with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and has also applied for a payment institution license in Ireland.
Over the past 18 months, Ripple has increased its workforce in the UK and Europe by approximately 75%. Out of its roughly 900 global employees, more than 100 are now based in offices in London, Dublin, and Reykjavik, Iceland.
Ripple stated it continues to hire staff and plans further expansion across Europe, though it did not disclose specific headcount targets. While Ripple still views the United States as its global hub, most of its growth over the past two years—since the SEC lawsuit—has occurred outside the U.S., with hopes that its U.S. operations will recover and grow significantly.
