TechFlow news, according to official announcements from Opside, the content delivery platform ReadON has successfully launched its own dedicated zkEVM application chain on the testnet via the Opside ZK-Rollup Launchbase, and has introduced a custom Gas Token.
ReadON plans to officially launch its application on the testnet by the end of July, opening access to regular users. ReadON aims to provide a "Content as a Service" solution for dApps. By operating its own zkEVM application chain, ReadON can scale data onboarding and enhance value capture from service delivery, while helping users monetize their data. Currently, all existing zkEVMs use ETH as the Gas Token.
The implementation of custom Gas Tokens offers greater possibilities and flexibility for projects. Project teams can now choose any ERC20 token as the Gas Token for their sovereign zkEVM. This innovation not only further unlocks customization capabilities within zkEVMs but also strengthens project teams' ability to tailor Gas Tokens to meet specific project needs and strategic goals.
