TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, Do Kwon, founder of Terraform Labs, said at a hearing in Montenegro's lower court that he did not know the passport he used for travel was forged, blaming a Chinese agency.
Kwon stated that he received allegedly forged passports and travel documents—including a Costa Rican passport and a Belgian passport—through a third-party agency.
Prosecutors asked Kwon to provide detailed information about the agency, but he said he only remembered it being named "Chinese" and could no longer recall clearly.
In addition, Kwon denied allegations that he provided any financial donations to Milojko Spajić, former finance minister of Montenegro, and his lawyers also rejected the claim.
After the hearing, Judge Ivana Becić will deliver a verdict on forgery charges on June 19 local time. Kwon could face up to six months of extradition, while the local court will also consider South Korea's extradition request.
