Damus, an open social app based on the Nostr protocol, tweeted that it will be removed from Apple's App Store within 14 days. This is because Apple stated that the "zaps" feature is not permitted on its platform, as zaps "may" be used by content creators to sell digital content.
Damus argues that if users are unable to freely conduct peer-to-peer transactions on their platform, it would have a significant impact on the entire app ecosystem, especially applications with Lightning Network integration and v4v capabilities.
The zaps feature allows users to earn Bitcoin by posting content or to send Bitcoin tips to others' posts.
