TechFlow reports that social investment and trading platform eToro has announced it will cease access for U.S. users to Algorand (ALGO), Decentraland (MANA), Dash (DASH), and Polygon (MATIC), effective 18:00 Beijing time on July 12.
As a result, U.S. users will no longer be able to open new positions in these tokens but may continue to hold and sell existing positions. Non-U.S. customers are unaffected by this change.
The company cited regulatory reasons for the decision, stating that actions were taken due to rapidly evolving regulatory conditions. While eToro did not specify which regulatory developments prompted the move, all four cryptocurrencies were classified as securities in recent SEC lawsuits against Coinbase and Binance.
