TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, Binance.US has hired four lawyers, including George Canellos, former co-head of enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These lawyers will represent Binance.US in defending against U.S. allegations of operating an unlicensed securities exchange.
George Canellos is now global head of litigation and arbitration at law firm Milbank LLP, overseeing approximately 1,300 lawyers. Previously, he served as head of the Major Crimes Unit at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. The other three lawyers also have experience handling criminal cases and bankruptcy matters.
