TechFlow news: Kaspersky CEO Eugene Kaspersky said on social media that they have discovered a new iOS-targeted cyberattack named "Triangulation." The attack exploits iMessage with malicious attachments and leverages multiple vulnerabilities in iOS to silently install spyware onto users' devices without their knowledge. This hacking group is highly sophisticated—just one iMessage is enough to implant a Trojan and remotely control an iPhone.
In response, Yu Xian, founder of SlowMist, shared the warning, noting that although these hackers may steal users' wallet information, their primary goal is to obtain sensitive data from unusual individuals or organizations.
Users should maintain the habit of keeping their systems updated and are strongly advised against using iMessage functions that serve no practical purpose. In its report, Kaspersky criticized iOS's closed-source system, which makes certain security measures difficult to implement and provides a safe haven for advanced Trojans that can remain undetected for years. Kaspersky itself has previously been targeted by such attacks, but fortunately detected them in time.
