TechFlow reported, according to CoinDesk, Tribe Capital, a venture capital firm that has previously invested in cryptocurrency companies such as Kraken and Bitfinex, has launched a new crypto fund and plans to raise $100 million for it.
Based in San Francisco, Tribe Capital currently manages $1.6 billion in assets. Sources said the firm intends to make early-stage investments in Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems, decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, and infrastructure aimed at moving real-world assets onto blockchains. Specifically, Tribe Capital aims to advance protocols that deliver security, scalability, liquidity, and cross-chain compatibility, thereby enhancing trust in the crypto ecosystem and driving broader adoption.
