TechFlow news, according to Forkast, Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget said Wednesday it plans to hire another 300 employees across operations, compliance, research and development, and customer support departments.
Bitget's first-quarter report shows the company currently has around 1,300 employees. Unlike many exchanges that laid off staff during the "crypto winter," Bitget announced in November last year its intention to expand its workforce by 50%. In its quarterly report, the company stated that spot trading volume reached $59 billion in the first quarter of 2023, an 8% increase from the previous quarter, while futures trading volume hit $658 billion, up 27% quarter-on-quarter.
