TechFlow news, Solana Mobile has officially launched its first Android device—the Saga. Customers in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand can begin ordering the phone starting May 8.
The Solana Saga is designed to seamlessly integrate Web3 experiences directly into the smartphone. Steven Laver, Chief Software Engineer at Solana Mobile, noted that while smartphones are the devices people interact with most daily, current methods of engaging with Web3 largely remain confined to desktop screens.
Given the strict payment policies enforced by Google and Apple app stores, many Web3 applications have had to compromise to gain access. The Solana Saga now features a dedicated Solana App Store. As of launch, the Solana App Store will offer 16 dapps for download, including Audius, Dialect, Jupiter Aggregator, Ledger, Magic Eden, Mango Markets, Marinade, and Squads.
